How To RESURRECT Your Dream!

It always seems "darkest" before your breakthrough.

DON'T YOU DARE QUIT.

As a fellow busy woman with 25+ years in the executive corporate world, as a nonprofit Founder, and as a Women’s Leadership Consultant, one primary key I embrace is keeping it simple!

On this worldwide sacred weekend, I want to candidly share with you five ways to GO BEYOND THE NO’S of life to make your dream a reality.

Obstacles along life's path can attempt to deter your dream of sharing your unique voice and message with the world. The most successful people today had to face many obstacles along the way. It took effort, determination, and perseverance to reach their goals.

You may experience your fair share of the journey's pain. Discouragement from family, friends, co-workers, and people you know and trust can be challenging to handle. But obstacles don't mean you can't keep moving forward.

When you face rejection from employers, friends, and family members or discouragement by the world's system, remember that it happens to everyone. Rather than allow setbacks to pull you back, use them as motivation to keep going.

How can you turn your dreams into reality? Try these proven tips:

1. Burn the image of your dream in your mind and visualize it. The most successful people in the world today [in any sphere of influence] visualize their goals every day until they achieve them. They imagine them as already completed and do what it takes to get what they want.

  •  My childhood “Shero” Madame CJ Walker started from humble beginnings. But she had a strong desire to become successful. She became the first female African American millionaire in the United States. Visualizing your dream is one of the most potent ways to make it happen. Imagine what you'll look like when you achieve it. Visualize how you'll feel and imagine everything that will happen once you finally obtain your goal.

2. Have realistic and unrealistic goals. Many women know how important it is to set goals in pursuing dreams. Usually, your main goal will seem unrealistic because you probably can't imagine ever attaining it.

  •  However, setting smaller, more realistic goals along the way can make you far more likely to achieve your ultimate dream.

3. Resist the need to compare yourself to others. Many people compare themselves to others when setting goals. Comparison often leads to discouragement and a feeling of failure.

  • Instead of comparing yourself to others, focus on your strengths and the areas where you excel. For example, if you've been working hard on your writing your first book, set a goal to improve your writing/journaling one to two pages a day rather than “I gotta have 100 pages” in two weeks. In other words, stop comparing yourself to others and set goals you know you can knock out.

4. Work on your dream every day. You will make faster progress if you work on your goals " a bite" every day. Rather than just dreaming about or setting and forgetting goals, work on them each day until you reach your goal.

  •  Working on your dreams each day gives you more than enough motivation to push yourself harder. Even when you don't feel like doing much on a particular day, a simple task is better than doing nothing. Once you complete that, you'll be proud of yourself for not giving up and for sticking to your goal. "Eat that elephant---ONE bite at a time!"👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

5. No excuses. Yes, it would be best to keep everything from getting in your way. In the real world, something will always hold you back, but don't let that stop you from chasing your dreams. Remember that if you don't try, you'll never know if you're capable of achieving your goal.

  • Successful people know the difference between excuses and genuine reasons and know that excuses will never help them achieve their goals.

Even though you may feel overwhelmed and discouraged, remember that you are the only person holding you back. The person who wants to make your dreams come true is YOU. So, stay honest with yourself about what you want and what you can achieve. And then live that dream!

"No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 7 But rather what we are setting forth is a wisdom of God once hidden [from the human understanding] and now revealed to us by God—[that wisdom] which God devised and decreed before the ages for our glorification [to lift us into the glory of His presence].

None of the rulers of this age or world perceived and recognized and understood this, for if they had, they would never have crucified the Lord of glory."

1 Corinthians 2:7,8

It may seem darkest before your dawn. Yet, with God that ALL things are possible!

Remember, the world THOUGHT Jesus was dead…BUT God knew He would RAISE Him up on that glorious morning!

Don’t give up.

Don’t you quit on your dream.

Why? Because God NEVER quits on You!

Blessed Resurrection Weekend!
