While much of the world focuses on honoring earthly dads — or wrestling with difficult memories related to them — there’s a much higher and eternal significance we can celebrate today: the unfailing, eternal love of our Heavenly Father.
Whatever your earthly experience — whether you had a dad who was kind, flawed, distant, or even absent — there’s Good News today: God sets the standard for fatherhood — and He IS the ultimate, unfailing, perfect Father.
“For this reason [seeing the greatness of this plan by which you are built together in Christ], I bow my knees before the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, for Whom every family in heaven and on earth is named [that Father from Whom all fatherhood takes its title and derives its name].”— Ephesians 3:14–15 (AMP)
